Has it really been a month?

Sorry I haven't posted in awhile. Life has been hectic with the new school year starting up again. It seems like I went from being excited about going to see The Wiggles to all of a sudden it being a month later and being back to school for 3 weeks (2 with kids back.) Anthony has been amazing this past month . It seems like he has mellowed out more. He still will have his typical 2 year old tantrums at times but he pretty much is just a fun loving 2 year old who loves to tell you that he loves you at random times and give you tons of hugs and kisses. He has adapted well to going back to school and if you didn't see my post on facebook then you ought to know that he welcomed school back by walking in and throwing his hands up in the air and yelling "I'm back!" Picking him up from school has to be one of the best things. As soon as he sees me his eyes get huge and he starts yelling to everyone "hey, it's my mom! it's my mommy! Yeah, it's MY MOM! he runs up and gives me a big hug and then says "bye friends" and waves as we leave. Our evenings our usually spent running around the house trying to get away from the crocodiles that seem to always be around trying to get us. We are always able to escape by hiding under the covers in the guest bedroom. Tonight Anthony and I sat together and made houses with his blocks, then we decided to get a bowl and use his blocks to cook. He mixed them up in the bowl with a big spoon and made all kinds of tasty meals. He made soup for mommy, macaroni for daddy, hamburgers for all of us and cupcakes since daddy requested some. We would pretend to eat them and then we would talk about how good it tasted and smelled. A two year olds imagination is endless and it doesn't take much to make them smile. Just this morning Anthony and Randel played for half an hour by simply having Anthony turn of the dining room light. He would turn it off and Randel would pretend he couldn't see him anymore. He would ask what happened to Anthony and Anthony would giggle like crazy and then suggest that Randel look under the table or above the light or behind the blinds. Randel would look in all the places he would suggest but never find him until Anthony would turn the light back on. Oh, and baylor bears football is back on! Both Randel and Anthony wore their baylor gold and cheered on the bears to victory today. Later, we went out to eat, he had fallen asleep on the way and when we got there Randel was taking him out of his carseat while he was just starting to wake up, I told him I liked his shirt and even though he was still half asleep he rose his head and said "Go bears!" I have said it many times before and I will say it again, this has to be the best stage so far. Each day we say to ourselves how lucky we are to have such a sweet loving son who brings tons of smiles every day.
