Batter up
Our evening at the Round Rock Express game. Anthony enjoyed some of the tasty stadium food and the nice evening out "watching" the game.

The bears, ducks and oso.
Well I have to say that I feel bad about making fun of the Bears maybe only winning 4 games now that they ended up losing by so much to Wake forest. For those that somehow missed the game last night the bears went down 41-13. There is still a chance though, right Randel? As heart wrenching as it is I am sure he will be giddy at the beginning of every game this year in hopes that they pull out a win and once again I will see him pouting as the end of the 2nd quarter rolls around and he turns the tv off with a big disapointed look on his face as if it is a complete shock that they are loosing. Sorry to all the Bears fans out there, I really do feel for ya. Oh, and ...... hook 'em horns.
Excerpt from my day:
Me: Ok, so there are 7 ducks swimming in the pond. Some left and now there are only 4. How many ducks left?
Student raises hand.
Me: Yes, tell the class what you think the answer is.
Student: Well I don't know that but I think the ones that left came to my apartment because I saw a bunch of them outside yesterday.
End of day: There won't be homework because it's Friday.
Students: Awww but why not!!!!!
I have a strange set of kids who are the only ones around that have requested homework all week and are disapointed if they don't have any. We shall see how long that lasts.
Oso (AKA Anthony) oso is what the teachers at daycare call anthony. Today Randel picked him up from daycare and one of the teachers said bye to him. He turned back waved and said bye back. Randel gave him his cell phone to play with and he opened it up and said hello. Silly boy.

Where are we?
It's been awhile since I have posted but life has been hectic for me. I have spent a week in training then last week I spent in half day trainings followed by late evenings setting up my classroom. For those who think it's just about decorating some bulletin boards, as I also once thought, it isn't! A week of doing it and I still wasn't finished when the kiddos walked into the room Monday morning. I have now completed my 4th day of teaching a wonderful group of 13 kiddos. Luckily they love their teacher (how could they not) so it has been a lot easier than I had worried it would be. Still, I get home and am completely drained. I hope to keep the blog up to date better once I am settled in a little more with my routine.
As for Mr. Anthony, life was not easy having to adjust to going back to daycare. Randel takes him in every morning and he had actually started clutching his car seat whenever they drove up to the daycare not wanting to come out. Poor little guy. He seems to be doing better this week and I am praying that it keeps going that way.
Oh and Randel celebrated his 32nd birthday on Monday. Still looking good! He is excited to see his Bears start of the season tonight. THIS WILL BE THE YEAR!! .........that they win at least 4 games, heehee.

We're Back!
It's been awhile since I posted but with Anthony being gone there wasn't anything to write about and last week we were in florida enjoying a family vacation. But we are back and we had a great time. Anthony did great on the 12 hour going and more like 15 hour coming back drive. He wasn't very crazy about the beach or getting dirty with the sand but of course he loved the pool. Here are some pics of the trip. Oh and Anthony is once again out of town for the entire week but will be staying put after that.
